I thought she gave the best performance of all of them but she's gone but not for long. She will be as successful as any of them after it's over.

She was 10 times better than Carly S or David A or Jason C.

    I spent 30 minutes looking for something to watch last night, and I STILL didn't watch that show! It sux having standards.

    Sorry. But IMO.... She dodged the bullet too many times. I agree that based on that performance alone she should not have gone home. But big picture, she would have never won the whole thing. Too many damn 12yo girls voting for David A.

    Brooke and Sayesha are next up, unless by freak accident Jason ends up having a bad week as well.......The irish chick is good, but she won't make it to the final 3.

    Kristy's pandering with "America the Beautiful" finally ran out, that's all. She should have been gone 3 weeks ago (though I'm not complaining, she's super hot and fun to look at).

    She couldn't hold a note if it was duct taped too her a$$ and I don't believe she even knows what "pitch" is. I'm surprised she even made it to Hollywood.

    She got screwed? Are you absolutely kidding me? She shouldn't have been allowed to the top 24. She's generic. Just your typical pretty girl, great body, fair voice. She clearly made it on her looks alone. Now that it's down to talent, she should've left a long time ago. Blah. Michael was screwed during Gives Back week. Archelleta is good but he's losing his charisma and is getting stale. David Cook is by far the best artist but he'll go out in 2nd or 3rd which is the best place because then he's not under contract to AI and can get a real paying gig. Syesha... yawn. Brooke and Jason are really good but they'll be 4th and 5th IMO.

    Yes I watch because I appreciate music and quality voices... even AI gives you something new.

    I wonder if AI has built into the contracts of any of the top 20 or so that AI has them for a while....

    The winners are often the one's that don't do so well..........

    the only person past, present or future that has had a decent career after leaving Idol has been Kelly Clarkson. She has the look, the voice, the attitude to be a rock chick.

    i like her. the rest are bad.. who's the guy that one that one year.. Tyler Florence or Lawrence? he's all but gone

    Carrie Underwood did indeed win her season. She beat out Bo Bice for the title.

    Idol has the first crack at contracts for any of the top 10 or 12 (I forget which). They can pass - which they have in the past, with for example Eliot Yamin, who is not under contract with Idol, so it's cool that they had him on this week. But if they want a contract it's their option.

    Kristy Lee was/is HOT. She's a cowgirl and works on her family's ranch. I dislike country music but she could sing to me anytime. The only reason she made it so far was because she was HOT. A very average singer, forgettable as Simon would say.

    Carly the Irish chick *should* be the one to win as she has the most consistent performances and a great voice. David A is too young; David C could be the possible winner also. This is the first year I've actually gotten into the show because overall the talent has been pretty good.

    I hate the fact that every show has a certain theme and I thought they really butchered the Beatles songs and it was unnecessary to subject America to 2 weeks of Beatles songs because except for a couple performances it was not that great. Imagine the train wreck if they did Zeppelin songs. 2 bands no one can duplicate on a show like Idol; shouldn't even have been attempted.

    I've never been a Dolly fan or a Mariah fan so those weeks I didn't really pay attention. I think the judges bantering is fake and contrived although I think the comments to the performers are real. I want whatever Paula is on during the show; talk about mindless blabbering.

    I think Underwood's career will far eclipse Clarksons, if it hasn't already. They each have done very well, but I think Carrie definately has the most staying power.

    Seacrest made a comment the other night about Daughtry being the best selling bandin 2007.... if true, they are doing just fine.

    There have been several of them that have produced top40 hits, and I am sure have enjoyed a measure of success, but I can't imagine anybody else seeing the long term success that Carrie Underwood will have... and I wasn't much of a fan!
