So, I'd like to do a get together at my place sometime in late May or early June if possible. Just wondering if anyone is interested, either post here or PM me for details!

Edit: This is open to members with 350+ posts, sorry...

Wow, my replying in this very thread raised my post count just enough... whew! ;)

By the way, all this back and forth BS over who can and cannot come, and I still do not see a definite day and time yet .
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

We'll need as many people there as possible so Harry and Sal can do Keg Stands. :D

    Ed,

You might have to speak with my parents first, is that okay?

I was j/c. I will be at work that day. I might just call in sick just to see sal do the belly flop.

    The 24th? Or the 31st?

Well, you can always head out here on the 30th if you want, no parental issues here ;).

Just messin' with ya, appadv, don't take me seriously, OK?

And even though it's on a Friday, you should be able to take a class off once in a while; this is as good a reason as any to do so. IMHO.

Sal, any belly flops will need to be done in the pool, OK?:D (with any luck it will be open and full of water, too)

Do you live close to a railroad station? I think I *might* be able to take the LIRR to your place from the Port Jefferson station...

Not trying to be a wiseass; the answer is yes... and no.

I am 3 min. from the Riverhead LIRR station. However, that does not help you at all if you are coming from Port Jeff (2 totally different branches :(). You would have to head west to Hicksville, IIRC, then take the Ronkonkoma branch out here. Not worth it, IMO; it would be cheaper and faster for you to take a cab. Maybe we can come up with something for you?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

When you say 3 minutes from the station, is that by car? Or just walking?

I think I can make it.

    Car.

But someone can easily get you from there to here, no problem.

    Well...

I used to work in Manhattan (3rd Avenue) and I don't have any issues with taking the train.

Seeing as how you can get anywhere the LIRR goes to from Jamaica, I'd say yes.

Just make sure you're on the Ronkonkoma branch, eastbound.

Thanks. So I guess you just take it past Mineola, to Hicksville, and then transfer to the Ronkonkoma branch??

    P.S. I won't be bringing my dad :)
