Ok, so why is it when someone sneezes, we automatically feel compelled to say "Bless you?" Does anyone here actually know why they say it, if you even do?

I dont know what your link says but I will venture a guess.
The moment you sneeze a portal to your body and soul are opened and the devil can get inside you, so the blessing is bestowed to ward off the evil one.
I believe some of our members have been possessed and send my blessing to each of them, the devil be gone from you.

Wouldn't the "portal to your body and soul are opened" theory also apply when one farts ?
I can't recall anyone ever saying, "God Bless You" when I've farted.
Although, with the amount of effort I put into them, they should.Sal Palooza -
the devil aint dumb enough to crawl up someone's **** and risk injury in a gerbal fight or something similiar. however, if someone is concerned a bit of prep H, would likely help make the slide to slippery for a serious upshoot. besides when you sneeze your spichter automatically tightens as a defense to the evil one.
