I've had my current HT setup for a while now and I'm at the point where I'm needing more. (I hate this hobby!). I want more power damnit!!! What would be the next logical step to upgrade. Better amp maybe...or sub? I use it mainly for movies. I'm looking for chest slamming noise. I listen to movies at high levels...-5 for volume on my HK247. I love it!! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

no...above. I am using a marantz external amp for the front sounstage as well. It's been a great amp. That -5 was supposed to be -15. Sorry for the typo.Fronts: RTI10's

Bigger, better, or multiple sub-woofers! The rest of your system looks capable of producing what you are looking for. Not sure moving up to LSi's is going to give you more "chest-thumping" effects.DKG999

Ok. I missed the Marantz there in the listing. You would probably notice a difference putting your existing speakers on a really good 5 channel amp such as the Earthquake Cinenova. Other than that dual subs made a nice change with my set up.Sharp Elite 70

I agree with Wing!
