Just got home from seeing Billy Joel at Wells Fargo arena here in Des Moines. What a show! I was really shocked how good his voice was. He actually sounded much better than he did about 5 years ago when he came through with Elton John. He obviously can't hit some of the really high notes, as he did in his younger years, but he still sounded great for his age.
This was probably my favorite show of his, because he played a fair number of B-side songs like Vienna, Zanzibar, & Miami 2017, and others that you don't typically get to hear anymore. To top it off the sound guys were doing a great job. At one point it got a little too loud, but that was short lived.
Anyway.....If he happens to be coming through your area, I would definitely recommend snagging a ticket. After all he can't have that many years left in him.:)
