Well done! That's the reason I'm always poring over the "bargain trader" and local CL. You never know, I've bought a lot of boats on the serious cheap this way.

I've gotten a few 'good' deals throughout the years, but nothing like this, especially with the receiver working perfectly with no need for repair. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
I installed the replacement RDOs last Thursday. Nice improvement. Now listening to piano music on these is much more enjoyable. Still a little harsh in some passages though, but that may be due to the electronics I'm powering these with. I also noticed the bass response is somewhat peaky, which is most obvious with electronic music that contains sweeping bass notes.
Bottom line, the more I listen to these, the more I miss my big Mirage M3. I guess I've been experiencing a vacuum in good sound since I sold off my 2 channel system, so when I first heard these, it was like getting a saltine after walking weeks in the desert. They sounded great! Now, after almost a week listening to them, they just sound pretty good. Still a great deal, even with extra cost to upgrade to the RDOs.
I need to try them with some different electronics before I pass final judgment though. At the very least, I need to pull down my SACD player from the living room system and hook it into this setup. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

Right out of the box they are a little "ragged" around the edges wait until you have 150-200 hours on them they will "snap" in to place nicely after they get some playing time. .
Just leave all your electronics where they are and run them for awhile you'll notice a improvement by the end of the week"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -

But what fun is that? Although it was nice to score that free Yamaha receiver, I've never really been fond of their sound with respect to amplification. Just keeping my eyes open for a modest NAD integrated. I also never really liked the sound of the CD player I'm using either (Marantz CC4000).For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...
