A pair of black RTi8 in EX. condition with boxxes not sure what shipping
would be but need to get $300.00 can help with pickup in my local
area. I'm in allentown Pa. OK NEW PRICE $200.00 plus shipping or local pickup.

    Hi,

    I am currently building my first home theater system. I already got an Onkyo 705, a Polk CS1 and four R150s for the satellites. I was looking for a pair of black R50 for the front. Would a pair of Rti8 match my setup? How old are you Rti8s?

    Hello Sam,

    The RTi8's will not be timbre matched to the CS1. The four R150's will also not be timbre matched but they are less of a problem. The RTi8 is a better speaker than the R50's. So if you prefer to go this route you should consider changing the center to a CSi3 or CSi5. You may be able to get away with using the CS1 for a little while, but you will eventually start hearing the difference and want to change the center.

    The 705 is a nice receiver and will be able to drive the RTi8's pretty well. The 8's will benefit from a separate amp, but it isn't a must.

    Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it.
    I had a tight budget for the speakers. That's why I decided on the R50s and the matched speakers. But it is almost impossible to find R50s!!!! :( I've been looking for them for weeks!
