I bought a starter system a couple of years back, two Polk M20s and a CSM center channel. Now that I am ready to upgrade my plans are to move the floorstanding M20s to the back and get two new fronts and a center channel. I recently purchased a 12" velodyne sub so I am not that concerned at all with lows.

My thoughts are as I said before, move the m20s to the back and buy two RTiA5s for the front and add a CSiA4 center. How does that sound? Anyone have any other suggestions? How will the rti's match up? I was quoted 900.00 for the 2 rtia5s and csia4, is that a pretty good price? Any help for this newbie would be greatly appreciated. Willing to listen to any suggestions, but kinda wanna stay around 1000.00 for two fronts and a center

    Welcome to Club Polk.
I think you are on the right track for HT. The monitors in the rear aren't that good of a match, but you could sell them later if you don't think they play well with the new RTi's, and get something that matches better.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

but what's a good match for the rtiA5s? Are the A5s enough to power a nice HT system with a sub, or do I need to go bigger? If I put the A5s in the front, what should I place in the back to keep the best set up?

The RTia5's will work great with a good sub. As stated keep your existing speakers for surround duty. They should work fine and if you don't like how it sounds sell them and get some RtiA3/1's later.
