A/B switching

My set up in my main living room consists of Denon 1708, with Polk RM705 series sat. speakers for movies. I also listen to music so I just purchased some polk Rti8's for listening to music( in stereo). My question is how does the a/b switching work as far as using both A and B at the same time.

Does it share the 75 wpc(fronts) or does it use the 6th and 7th channels power when only using 5.1
