    They ARE representatives of the people of the United States. If that is the case, shouldn't their demographics be similar to the population as a whole. You know...the whole "government for the people, by the people" thing.

    That's an interesting point, I feel we should hold our representatives to a higher standard, but than again, they are "us"; and from reading the paper every day, we all know how screwed up "us" are...

    BINGO!!! That's why I have very little trust or respect for any of them. I don't believe any of them actually CARE about "the people" or where this country is going. It's all just about what power they can get & control!

    I happen to work in DC, it still has problem sections like any other city. Well I will be going to the Nationals game tomorrow.
