Emotiva vs. Outlaw

So, I've done the search and found some threads that talk a bit about Emotiva but I wanted to see if I could get some further input. (I think that I may still be in shock based on the price of the Emotiva XPA-5.)

Anyone have any direct comparisons between the two? I was all set to pull the trigger on an Outlaw 7500 (Outlaw's got a sale this month on amps) and I stumbled across these guys. I've looked and I can't find anything bad about them anywhere.

Any input would be appreciated as the Outlaw sale is over at the end of the month.

Guess that I should mention that I will be using my Onkyo as a pre/pro for awhile and my speakers are: RTi12, CSi5, FXi3
A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

    I don't have personal experience with Outlaw, but a co-worker does. He loves his 7125.

    I bought an XPA-5. I too looked for anything negative about the company. Nada. (the amp really is a beast)

    I think they are both good companies with solid products. Emotiva can sell cheaper because they own their factories, while Outlaw sources through ATI for their amps.

    I think you'll be satisfied with either brand.

    Get the XPA-5. I haven't heard the higher end Outlaws, but for the price, you absolutely can't beat the Emotiva. Looks a lot nicer than the Outlaw stuff, too.

    What's a higher end Outlaw? I'd go with the Emotiva if I had to pick one or the other.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I've only heard the "low end" Outlaw monoblocks and wasn't impressed. Based on all of the positive feedback, I assume Outlaw's other amps sound much better than their monos.

    I mentioned this in another thread. A budy of mine had the complete Outlaw mononblock system; surprisingly the new Emotiva was a signficant improvement. After listening to both the Outlaw and the Emotiva in his system I am a believer in Emotiva. Emotiva cannot be beat for the money. I suspect that is why Outlaw is havng a big sale.
