These are offered on Ebay, local for me, so I was thinking of bidding on them. Anyone with experience with them who would like to offer an opinion on them? Or Infinity speakers in general? I would be using them in my office at work for 2 channel. Mostly classic/southern rock, but also a very eclectic mix including classical, big band/swing, country, pretty much anything but rap/hiphop. Thanks in advance:D.

Oh, and what would you think they are worth? The pictures look like they are in good shape.

They suck. I hope you didn't "win" them. You would be much better off with monitor 5's, or 7's, or LSI7's. I used to love Infinity's. I gave them away, or scrapped them for parts.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

If you are going Infinity, I would only go with the vintage stuff the employed the EMIT drivers. (Maybe RS-1s:D)

The only thing reference about those is in the name. There was a whole line of "RS" and I think they either replaced or were the next step above the "SM" line which was also absolutely horrible. Early to mid 90's.

I actually have a mint pair of SM-112 around here. A ten or twelve inch three-way that you can listen to endlessly as long as you're not in the same room with them. I also had a really big pair of RS-III or IIIB, but they didn't stack up to what I already have, so I gave them away.

Sure, Ben, post that after the auction is already over. ;):D

Actually, I decided to pass on them anyway. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the feedback!

If my experience with the Infinity Prelude MTS, their one time flagship speaker, is any indication, stay far away from Infinity. I owned 7 of their MTS line and ALL of them had driver problems.
