    I bought my player from Amazon, though it was a while back.... don't quite remember how long ago. Does the email say anything about what the cutoff date is?

    I think he means the "starting" date. No, it does not mention. I ordered mine on November 5.

    Crutchfield had them in their catalog for full retail about two weeks after toshiba pulled the plug (and while Best buy was dumping them for $150)... but w/ a print catalog, what can you do?

    That's not sold by Amazon, but "Toyzzz". Keep in mind Amazon is also a storefront for dozens of other companies.
