How's everyone's experience with HD radio in your area? I heard one of the Sony desktop units in Best Buy the other day and I was impressed.

Is it really time to upgrade?

    Guess it depends where you are. My new pre-amp has HD radio, but there is only one station broadcasting HD in this area. It's a country station, and I hate country.

    I can say though, that the sound quality from this station is much better than any of the standard compressed FM stations I recieve.

    Check ibiquity.com to see what stations are in your area. I have it in my car and love it. We have 5 FM stations and 2 AM stations, with two of the FM stations multicasting commercial free music (blues and smooth jazz). The AM stations both broadcast sporting events so that is great for those, because it gets rid of all that horrendous whine that is normally there in the car.
