    You need to get over to [H]ardForum and spend some time lurking around the forums there. Plenty of people openly ask the same question as you, and the responses tend to be both good and very specific. That also is a good location for getting deals and finding sales on hardware (and games). That board is dominated by power users focused on gaming and has some of the most helpful members of any board I visit.

    I was suckered into going w/ AMD. Granted, no one put a gun to my head, but I was tired of waiting for Intel quadcore to slow down price wise. Patience is a virtue I just don't have.

    Have you built / bought already? If you haven't PM me with a budget and I'll set you up with what you need. (I recently oversaw a buddy's computer build for $850 OTD, plays anything on the market (except CRY-sis) on max settings.
