We had this contest going where the salesman with the highest percentage of sales over his objective was getting a new rolex and I won , the crazy thing is that my wife bought me a Cartier last month , first time I won anything in a LOOOOOOng time.

I would sell it and keep the Cartier.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Yes we have pretty good incentives, but like I said, it's been like a year and a half since I won anything.

I was thinking about that too but since the rolex it's free I don't want people at work saying he got it free and now he's selling it, 'cause onestly I like the Cartier better , especially since everybody has a Rolex whether is real or a replica, on the other hand (no pun) I can choose any Rolex for 6000 or under or pay the difference, so it does not have to be the submariner that everyone has.

    nice win there...

if it were me.. i'd sell it.. i'm not a expensive watch type guy.... i'd rather spend it on a Nikon digital SLR or something else fun.

but good for you for being the top salesman. :)

Congrats and yes we need pics.

    My simple equation.
    2 nice watches = 1 nice watch + additional $ for audio

You could take the rolex and donate it to charity.
Or sell it to UPGRADE your signature:D

Buy whichever Rolex you like, bring it to work and show everyone and then sell it and replace it with a fake. The Cartier will keep better time.

Go to a quality vintage watch dealer and if it has to be a Rolex go for a nice vintage one (gold "Bubbleback" from '40's or so would fit the trick) or other vintage chronograph or the like. Many many interesting ones to choose from. Modern Rolex's are Ok but there are sooo many other very nice alternatives that I would rather have in a heartbeat (if i could afford any of them of course).

Congrats. That's a nice prize for sure. You could definitely get some nice gear if you sell it and it's yours now. You can do what you want with it.

Congratulations! Rolex and Cartier are both nice watches.

Funny thing, I haven't work a watch in 25 years and I still know what time it is within 10 minutes. Plus, there are clocks everywhere. There's one right here on the computer. When I wore a watch, I was always looking to see what time it was. I seem to be much less stressed about time.

I worry myself sick whether or not I have enough burn in on my interconnects, speaker cables, capacitors or tubes.:(
