Here you go:

From my personal collection, a nice 5ch amp. Works perfect. Sounds great, looks great. (no serious marks, avg dust, mark or two on the cover)

100wpc for the front 3 channels, 60wpc for the surrounds.

I'm driving a pair of Carver Amazing Silvers with this right now with zero issues so I'm thinking that it will handle anything you can throw at it.

This mates VERY well to the pair of 2.3tl's that I have for sale also :)

I have a copy of the manual as well.

300, shipped, lower 48.

    Nice amp; nice price.

Somebody jump on it. I have no need for 5ch but someone must.

I've seen lots of people posting on the forum lately about wanting to get a separate amp for HT use. Where are you guys??

They have all been convinced that you need at least 200wpc for it to sound good.

Throw this together with a cheap pre and you have a rig that will easily beat most rcvrs out there.

I'm running a SOny str-da5es AVR that has "110 w/ch". What would this amp give me that the AVR doesn't? Would it sound better to use the amp or leave well enough alone?

All watts are not created equal...in most cases, a power amp offers superior sound and power handling than the amp section in an AVR. In this case, it's a relatively cheap experiment but one that I think is highly worthwhile.

Check, and see if your sony has preouts. Even the 100wpc Adcoms will smoke an AVR.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

No, Phasearray's BS was deleted and the subsequent replies. Nothing nefarious, I was just irked about some dickbump effing up my FM thread.

I'll give you my experience with this amp. The reason I purchased it was because my AVR was running very hot driving the 4ohm LSi speakers. My objective was not necessarily to get improved sound, but to relieve my AVR. My AVR is a former flagship, the H/K 7300, so it has a very solid amp section...probably a legitimate 110wpc. I really didn't notice much difference in sound, but I am very satisfied because my AVR doesn't get hot anymore.

Where I really noticed the value of this amp was when I hooked it up to my H/K 75 with my Polk R50's and LSi 7's. Although the H/K 75 is really good, the Adcom just "opened up" the sound.

My overall experience with this amp has been positive. While it doesn't meet the "200wpc" stamp of approval, I driving my system with it and am very satisfied with the results. Someone should take this off of Troy's hands.

The 200 WPC "minimum" is pure B.S. Even for 4 ohm loads.

100WPC will push almost any speaker to ear bleeding levels without distortion, in a medium size room.

There it is. I said it.

This is a great amp at a great price.

It's all about the current. Not sure about this Adcom, but the company in general has an excellent history of producing some clean sounding high current amps. 100 Watts of real high current power will blow any Best Buy AVR away.

I agree I've been running a 100 wpc Adcom for 20 years with LSi's, SDA's and RTA's and perhaps occasionally in an attempt to see what kind of volume I could get I got the clipping lights to flicker. And that was very very loud.

This is plenty of amp and if it doesn't flinch running the Amazings it won't flinch running any type of HT set-up including LSi's on all channels.

Somebody buy the damn thing and get your HT on.

Did this sell Troy? I was just wondering because I'm looking to unload my 6000 as well, but I don't want to throw it up on the forum here if yours is still up for sale. Gotta look out for the veterans:)
