Shhhh don't tell the wife!!!!!

Well this may happen after all, have been saving sky miles forever and have nailed 4 tickets to Hawaii for July 20-30.

I got to go to Hawaii last year for business and really hated that I did not take the family, so I have been looking since to see how we could get to go as a family. When I went last year, I did Honolulu for a day and a half, saw the Arizona, went to the top of Diamondhead and drove around the island's coast. Then hopped over to the Big Island, that is where the jobsite was at South Point, really only got to drive around the area and drive through the Volcano State Park on my way to the airport.

So... I am looking for some good tips, great places to stay and adventures that you done yourself. Right now, the planning is ...we have a plane arriving on the 20th and another one leaving on the 30th, I have made no reservations for any place to stay, so options are wide open as to what island to go to, and what to do. Being a creature of habit, I want to take the family to the Big Island to see the Volcano and what few off the beaten path places I saw down at South Point, and we will see Pearl Harbor again.

Thanks for your time and ideas.

Again the wife needs to know nothing (Wendi are you listening?) as this could fall apart like a house of cards.

While Russ would think that's a STELLAR idea, I think that idea would go over like a **** in the punchbowl with Mrs Abernathy. :D
