Upgraded my sub, now quick question

I had the polk rm6750 system, and today i upgraded my sub to a velodyne VRP1200. I still have the same speakers right now. With the sub that came with the system I used the bass management way to hook it up, plugging the fronts into the sub and then to the receiver. Should I still do that with this sub, or use a subwoofer cable? I'm using a onkyo 705, any info would be great. Thanks

Either way will be fine. I'm sure you already have it hooked up the way you had your old sub...so I'd leave it like that.

If hooked up that way be sure to have your Onkyo set to "sub=no" and "front speakers= large".

Ok so i tried both ways, and the way hooking up the fronts into the sub woofer worked well. Then i plugged them straight into the receiver and used a sub cable and the reciever recognized the sub in the calibration mode, but when i would play music and movies there was nothing coming from the sub, so I went back to plugging them into the sub.

My new question is I just got a good deal on some boston crc7 and cr67 for my center and fronts. Now that I'm using bookshelf speakers instead of the satelites, do I still set my front speakers on large or full band, or change them to a less hz. Thanks
