How do you like me now? huh? Yeah, that's a dual CD setup--your eyes aren't deceiving you. Brushed aluminum look too. $7.35 off ebay (shipping was $412.85 though). This thing rocks, the midrange is in-yo-face with presence..note the toe-in on the speaks---puts you right in the sweet spot. Stellar. Spend 5 minutes listening to this rig, and you'll never want to hear music again, it's that good.

Yeah, but does your system use "oxygenated" 28 gauge real copper wire?

cassette...ppppfffffftttttttt...NEXT. Get real. When I set this rig up on the kitchen table, put my chin on the table, about 9" from the speaks...BAM! Soundstage that is surreal.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

oh snap! -
Yep. No sound degrading terminations either--raw, twisted copper baby. Oh, and something else I've never seen on high-end stuff---right on the front---INSTRUCTIONS--bam, right there. If I'm thinking "man, how do I pause this again?" I look at the instructions, it says "press = to pause" done, lickity-split.
The manual even suggest some setup ideas:
- do not place in direct sunlight
- do not place near a heat source
- do not submerge in water
...and check this, MADE IN MALAYSIA...isn't that where the big Jesus statue is? How cool is that? Can you tell I'm excited?Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

You must not have heard me..this is EMERSON. Why in the world would I hook up LSI's to an EMERSON?? You're obviously not aware of power this thing puts out.

Well, the Yorx is from the 1978 Heathkit Christmas Catalog (Heathkit!? isn't that sad...) and the Emerson's from the 1979 Lafayette catalog. -
I've got a Candle 8-track recorder/turntable rig that with a pair of B & W 804's will kick that **** ****!!! 3 watts/channel of sheer audio heaven. Shove a pack of matches on top of the eight track and you get 12dB gain on the treble!!SDA-1C (full mods)

Snazzy!"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!
