Have a friend selling these speakers and wondering what you guys think of them. I'd be using Adcoms to drive them, probably have 160-200 watts dedicated to the LS-70's. Both sets sounded great whenever I heard them in his setup, but he also has Krell amps and Kimbers all around. Any opinions?

What Adcoms do you have? Adcoms are great amps, don't short stick yourself about Adcoms.

If you like them there then you will love them at your place.

I have 2 GFA-6000's so i would probably bi-amp each LS-70 with 100x2. I'm just amazed at home amazing those speakers sound for being LSi predecessors.

I owned a pair of LS50's for years and thought they were good for their time....but the LSi's that replaced them are clearer and more transparent. I was amazed at the improvement when I first got my 9's a couple years ago.

Turns out his speakers were LS50's. Decided to pull the trigger and got a pair of LS50's, FX300i's, and a CS350 for $325. I don't know if I have ever spent a better $325. With my old M&K sub, this setup sounds as good as any I have heard for the money. I'm so pumped. Just disappointed that the LS50's can't be bi-amped...
