    Too many to list.

I'm thinking about going to Blue Oyster Cult/ Jackyl next weekend. I've seen BOC twice, but I haven't seen Jackyl, and the price is right (15 bucks a ticket).
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

O.K. let me try this out, in order of how they pop into my mind...

89 ish, bto, guess who, grand funk rr and maybe somebody else, valley forge music fair, the stage rotated slowly so at some point every one had front row seats, I was 20 and ended up selling the drummer from grand funk a bag of weed, I don't even know how that came about and it just seems funny to look back at, me 20 him like 50 haha.

mid 80's, Judas Priest and Dokken, lots of Marshall stacks and fire.

Mid 90's, Rollins and Helmet, Rollins let me down, same set list as the year before, helmet was awsome.

Mid 90's, Rob Halford from Judas Priest with the band from Racer X at the trocadero, they played tons of old Black Sabbath, Faires wear boots and what not, damn cool show.

Late 80's, Suicidal Tendancies opened for Queensryche, suicidal was damn cool.

90's sometime, Leslie West from mountain in a bar with about 50 people, he played so loud he blew the main breaker 3 times, lights out and the whole nine.

90's random stuff at a place outside philadelphia, it was called the holy mackeral, random heavy double bass power metal

I guess the rest weren't very good cause I really don't remember

weird how I really have no desire to see live music anymore, maybe because my ears are so blown out from years of abuse it has become to painful or maybe my disdain for crowds

Steppenwolf - I was probably 14 at the time. My friend and I were easily the youngest people there by a couple of decades.
Suicidal Tendencies – Send me your money (and I did)
Megadeth – First place I ever saw I girl flash in public
Biohazard – Vicious pit, my back still hurts
Front 242 – Only remember because it was on my concert tee
    Fishbone – See Front 242
    Ministry – Solid B+
Arrested Development – Wasn’t all that bad
    Dinosaur Jr – See Fishbone
Babes in Toyland – See Dinosaur Jr
Rage Against the Machine – Explosive.
    Primus - B
    Pantera -Effing Awesome
Type O Negative – Good opening act
Hootie and the Blowfish - Date
Tom Waits – Who the hell is this guy and when is Hootie going to play?
Faith Hill - Best vocal performance I’ve seen in person (the Coliseum, Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas)
Tim McGraw – Tried to grab his balls but couldn’t get close enough!
    Taylor Swift – Very Nice
Big and Rich – The only act I was ever dreading to see, they changed my mind in one night.
Warren Brothers – Better live than on CD
    Trick Pony – So so
    Billy Dean – So so
Blink 182 – It was at this some I realized my life had come full circle, I was probably the oldest person there by about a decade.
The Used – Solid opening act
Taking Back Sunday – Solid Opening act
Aaron Lewis – Probably my favorite

    Took my daughters to see...
Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus with the Jonas Brothers (Loudest event. Don’t underestimate the power the 10,000 prepubescent girls screaming.)

I guess I could chime in here:

    In no particular order:

    Nirvana
    Pearl Jam
    Van Halen
    Bon Jovi
    The Hooters
    Collective Soul
    Live
    Guster
    Seether
    Breaking Benjamin
    Modest Mouse
    REM
    Three Days Grace
    Papa Roach
    Jane's Addiction (after the reunion)
    Ozzy
    Black Sabbath
    Staind
    Everclear
    Stone Temple Pilots
    **** Surfers
    Weird Al
The Presidents of the United States of America
    Fuel
    Gin Blossoms
    Counting Crows
    Airbourne
    Better Than Ezra
    Hurt

    Local bands:
    Please Please Me
    The Amish Outlaws
    Octane
    Emily's Toybox
    Noosphere
    Jealousy Curve
    Silvertide

There are many more and I'll have to find my ticket book when I get home. I have ticket stubs from every concert I've been to.

Honestly the best show I have ever seen, ever is a Stone Temple Pilots show. They usually have decent opening acts but when they are up their in the suits and sunglasses, it's just....yeah, bad ****! No need for fancy flailing around or lavish rock and roll antics, Weiland does it enough for all of them. The DeLeo brothers just stand up there cool as cucumbers in their fancy duds and do what they do best and play solid rock and roll. Sorry, saw them last night, they are still fresh in my mind. They are planning a new album and I cannot wait! I'm hoping they roll through the Philly area again soon.

Tonight I went to see Charlie Hunter play at Hollywood & Highland. Anybody else listen to him? If you're not familiar with him, he's a bad-**** guitarist who grew up and was trained in Berkeley by Joe Satriani. He plays an 8-string guitar (5 guitar strings, 3 bass strings and 2 pickups) which is sometimes manipulated to sound almost like an organ. As Blue Note signed him back in the 90s, he tends to get labeled as jazz but I think his sound (with funk, blues, groove and some swing) trangresses conventional musical bounderies. Anyway, he's a very entertaining performer. If he comes to a city near you, check him out.

I came across some of his songs on one of my hip hop/mushroom jazz stations on pandora, he is good, dosen't get to carried away with an endless guitar solo like some, just a little light on the rythem for my tastes though.

    Just to name a few good ones;
    Kiss (my first show)
    Zeppelin (my second show)
    Kiss (my third show)

Kiss was a lot of fun back in the day.
    In no particular order
    Tull
    Clapton
    Yes
    The Grateful Dead
    The Dead (no jerry)
    Rush
    Mahogany Rush
    Aerosmith
    Journey
    Nugent
    Floyd (the wall)
    Floyd (not the wall)
    Santana
    Boston
    Van Halen
    Bowie
    The Tubes
    Hootie and the Blowfish
    Blues Traveler
    Styx
    Al Demiola
    Little Feat
    Allman Bros
    Les Paul
    Heart
The Who (went to there finial tour 4 times, plus the extra quadraphina tour).

I've been to well over 100 concerts (but that may count the 30+ dead shows). Some of them were great, others just real loud music. Now I only go to the shows of people I used to love [looking forward to my next Santana show]. It's just not the same as it used to be. Hanging in the parking lot selling beer cooler things at dead shows were the some of the best times (these days, they just don't tolerate the hours of drinking before a show).

Someday I'll list them all for now too late too tired to get started.

Regarding vending and the Dead -

I was just in Worcester to see the Dead. The scene was fairly small and maybe the most ghetto I've ever seen for ANY show. The vendors were even more sketchy than normal, less teeth, more dirt, more nitrous, more drugs and not "happy" fun ones.

Nobody was there for music ...it was sad. Like I said I've been to tons of different shows and I'm familiar with the scene but usually you find joy and fun in the lots among the rest of the stuff but I didn't see any bliss or "love".
