Doomsday

Started out great. One of the best overview of a virus infestation in a flick. Unfortunately, the movie goes downhill from there. No, this is not Resident Evil/28 Days later. Sorry horror fans.

Think of this movie as a combo of Outbreak, The Road Warrior, Resident Evil without the zombies, 28 Days Later without the zombies, and the game Fallout (love that game especially Fallout Tactics).

Lots of stunts. There are scenes of cannibalism, decapitation, and dismemberment so leave the kids at home.

Rhona Mitra is good, better than Charlize in Aeon Flux, but no match for the ultimate babe badass - Milla Jovovich.

The flick goes stupid when it turns into a Road Warrior wannabe. The Bentley must have been doing 30mph so the chase cars can keep up. There are also other situations that degrade from the excellent beginning.

Okay cheese since the first half is pretty good. I say wait for a rental if you want to see it or perhaps matinee prices if you're a diehard Resident Evil fan.

Just saw the preview on TV. Looked like a Road Warrior wannabe, with a girl instead of Mad Max. Rental for sure, love to see it even though it looked extremely cheesy.

Yet another excellent Blu-ray blind buy. This was a fun, fun movie to watch. Lots of non-stop action, great soundtrack (lots of 80's music) and some good laughs. The A/V was excellent as well. All of us really enjoyed it. No real plot to speak of just another mindless popcorn movie with lots of other movie rip-offs (Road Warrior, Beyond Thunderdome, Aliens...the list could go on.

I was actually into this movie up until it went completely medieval, literally, it really couldn't hold my attention after that.

I loved it. Definite Escape From New York/Road Warrior clone, but Rhona Mitra was a total badass. I love a movie that doesn't pull any punches, and this delivered.
