Hi,
I was looking at the specs for the Polk MMC650 speakers, and I noticed that they need an external crossover? If this is the case, how does the crossover get installed between the head unit and speakers? And where would you locate it? Thanks in advance for your help!!

You would wire it in between the HU and the speaker. Youll have one input and 2 outputs and they are labeled so you cant go wrong. Nuttin' to it. Should be the same thing as the crossovers in your home speakers.
As for where to put it, thats up to you. you can do a fancy install and display them somewhere - if youre running an amp you can mount them by it - you can install them into the door panels or you can hide them under your dash. The only place Id suggest NOT putting them is inside the door panels as they dont tend to mix well with water and other of natures elements.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
