You should ask the reverse question.

What would happen to the CEO's of those U.S. companies if they didn't move all their operations overseas.

Fook the CEO's, and the polititions (poly=many tics=blood suckers). Kill them all, and start all over. Its plainly painful they care more about their pockets than their people;)

Oops I got mad, and said the F word:mad:
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

CEO's / COO's should have a cap placed on their salaries and benefits

that's all i gotta say. some CEO's make millions, truly filthy rich.
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

They are dirty. They would still get money on the side:(

Who cares about the CEO's ? I don't. Thats the dang problem..."As long as i get mine, i'm not worried about you attitude". It's ok to sell our souls, so some guy can get a 20 million bonus this year ? How many CEO's have ran their company into the ground, yet made millions for themselves ?

Look, i'm happy with the speakers. I was just surprised. I just noticed Energy speakers are designed in Canada and made....guess where ? To me, made in China = cheap, but I guess thats the way things are headed.

You will find most of these companies have some of their own people overseeing things like quality control. As long as the same tech bits are going in to the products then where it is assembled shouldnt matter too much.

Some companies ane not following the trend like Focal/JM lab. Designed in France. Made in France. More expensive than other similar performance products.

Can anyone confirm that only the LSi series are made from start to finish in the Polk factory as my local dealer leads me to believe?

I believe that all Polks are made in china. They get the specs directly from Polk HQ. At least that is what I remember being told at PF2005.

I don't care where my Polk Audio speakers are made.

Now, if Polk decides to start selling ice cream, that's a whole different ballgame. I INSIST that all my ice cream comes from Le Mars, Iowa and not from Antartica. Everyone knows that there is a good reason Le Mars is the ice cream capital of the world.

People used to have this same attitude towards stuff made in Japan. Now made in Japan is a sign of quality. It just takes time.

Products from SVS, av123, and almost all those internet direct companies are made in China.

Japan didn't sell us toothpaste with anti-freeze, poison in our dog food, or kill our offspring with lead paint.

Nothing that comes from China is made from quality.

Oh please LINM, don't even bother. Hyper can go on a rant about China but can't take the time to do some research in the month he has been here to find out that his receiver can't handle LSI's by itself. So he blames the speakers for his lack of research.

    Are you sure?

Lead paint wasn't banned in the U.S. until 1978, so the Japanese had plenty of time to "poison" us with their cheap exports lined with shiny lead paint (all of us probably chewed on those lead paint on toys from Japan at one time or another). And for that matter, we've been chewing on lead painted toys from Europe for god knows how long... It must be those damned Brits still hold a grudge against us for not paying their tea tax...

Ever played with tin toys when you were a little kid? Or did you ever use tin lined pots in your kitchen? Plenty of heavy metal poisoning right there.

And who was it that invented those damned disposable foldable umbrellas? Those umbrellas that would break after just one use. The Japanese.

And who was it that pioneered those cheap shoes that would fall apart after wearing them for just one month? The Japanese.

And who was it that pioneered those cheap disposable transistor radios, the kind that would quit working after just one month of use? The Japanese.

Did the quality of Japanese products improve? Sure thing.

Will the quality of Chinese products improve? You bet.

    ROTFLMAO!!!!! :D Good one LINM!

Oh well, when Hyper & others are ready to give up their BIG salaries & benefits, & employee protection laws etc., to make the products that these companies have outsourced to other countries for pennies things will be good again in the USA!

PS, you really do need a shorter screen name!;):D

Well, normally I'm in the same corner, just wanted to point out a reason that he might not like the LSi15's. In the interest of disclosure, I'm a union millwright, so obviously I don't get involved in talking politics here.(or as I like to call it: pissing up a rope)

I've accepted the fact that almost all electronics originate overseas. My XPA-5 is proof that the work is definitely coming up to snuff.

You can shorten it to DJ, if you like. :D
