I'm in need of replacing the grill cloth on my speakers and would appreciate some input. I'm looking at going to brown cloth and found a couple places that carry it, but they either don't state the transparency info or have it as almost 100% acoustically transparent. Is there such a thing as 100% acoustically transparent? Is the cloth on my 1.2TLs 100%? <== Stupid questions....antyhing in front of the speakers will interfere with airflow. Sometimes I just don't think. :) But you get what I mean, right?

I was looking at this site:

http://www.speakerworks.com/speaker_grill_cloth_fabric_s/25.htm

Thanks!

Parts Express sells nice grill cloth. Black should be the only color you consider.

If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

I purchased 'speaker cloth' at my local fabric store, it was pretty cheep, like 7 bucks a yard, I wish I could remember the width, it must have been 48" rather than the standard 36" cause I recovered 2 Monitor 7's with just 1/2 a yard. As for transparency I guess it gets more and more transparent the tighter you stretch it. The bolt was labeled 'speaker fabric 100% transparent' but I'm with you anything you put in front of the drivers is going to have some effect.
Polk Audio RTA 12c's, Monitor 7c, Monitor 5JR+, SDA CRS+
