In Canada, we have the Princess Auto chain. They carry a lot of surplus and get random cables all the time.
I picked up 2 Monster video cables 5'(RCA) for $ 5 a piece.

I got a Monster digital cable for $5 at Rat Shack. I stop in, and check every once in a while. I have also scored on connectors there.
