Does anyone know if any of the Beatles albums have been remastered?

Been checking Amazon & it appears as though they haven't been.

Yes / no?

If not, why not, for crying out loud? Best rock band ever (ok, IMHO), & no remasters?

C'mon, it took them how many years now to offer their music digitally? You expect album re-releases?

The Let It Be... Naked album that came out a few years ago was remastered (among other things), and I'm pretty sure that One album they put out with all the Beatles number ones was remastered.

Beyond that.... I wouldn't hold your breath.

From a little over a month ago...

"What about iTunes? I asked Calbi about the rumors about the Beatles catalog being remastered for iTunes. He was ahead of me, "They're not being remastered just for iTunes; they're being remastered because they got a deal with iTunes. I was partially involved in the discussions leading up to the remastering sessions; most of the Beatles catalog hasn't been remastered in 20 years." It's likely the new remasters are destined for CD release."

    Hey, thanks, Music Joe!

Well, I won't hold my breath, but I'll keep hoping they'll remaster everything. I'm betting they will. The ipod generation couldn't care less, but there are still some of us out here that would and have a little coin to buy.

I read that the "Let It Be...Naked" album was remastered, but poorly. Any one have it?

They should be released on SACD. Then, watch how fast SACD catches on with John Q. Public.

I have it, I think it's great. I can't say I've listened critically as far as SQ but I love what they did with the album, getting rid of a lot of the Specter garbage.

Ditto. Excellent version, much prefered over the original. I no longer have any desire to listen to Beatles recordings tampered with by this fool (and murderer...):

Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

By the way, Mobile Fidelity did remaster the Beatles catalogue on vinyl, and "bootleg" versions of those masters are available on cd. I've got the Abbey Road MFSL bootleg, and I have to say - it's excellent!
