Which amplifier do you guys recommend for driving the LSi speakers?

There seem to be a couple of LSi speakers up for sale in the sales forum, I am thinking about picking one up. Right now I have a pro Crown amp passed down to me from my brother. Do you guys think it has enough muscles to drive the LSi speakers?

The Crown probably has plenty of muscle, but maybe not the sound quality that will make the LSi's sing. You would certainly be alright giving it a try. From that point any good quality amp, tube or SS, will be good for the LSi's. In a SS amp I would recommend at least 100 wpc in an amp with good dynamic reserves and built to operate at 4 ohms. Lots of previous recommendations if you use the search function.

Again, search and use wild cards (*). Usual recommendations include Rotel, Parasound, B&K, Earthquake, Adcom...im sure I am missing some. I have had good luck with Rotel, Parasound, B&K and Earthquake with LSis as well as others.

    Over 200 WPC
    Rated to 4 ohm impedance

Everything else boils down to price and personal preference. I love my Sunfire, but many find it expensive. There are a ton of threads on this one so search it out like Gaara said and if you have any more specific questions go ahead and continue this thread.

Depends on which Crown amp you have. An old D150 would be a temp fix. The newer models tend to be more powerful.

It's an old one. My brother was really into that garage band thing for a while. He's no longer into it, so he passed it down to me.

Right now I am using it drive some KLH speakers, sounds pretty good.
