No sound from sub

I posted in the speaker forum before, probally should have posted here. THANKS to all who responded before. But here it is I bought a Velodyne DD15. I am trying to use my balanced out from the controller. I got a new cable to run from the cotroller to the sub. I cant get sound from it. I hook it up from the RCA sub out jack on the contoller and I get sound. I want to use the balanced out however. I have to try to turn off the sub crossover, but what should I set the crossover at in the controller they rec 80 hz in the book but it also says to try to lower it to like 20 hz. This is driving me crazy. Still no sound from balanced ou.

You manual for you Parasound Halo C-2 is sorry. I looked through it and could not find any help for you. Why don't you contact Parasound and ask them. Sometime input cabling and output cabling has to be the same to get sound output.

Thanks engtaz, I will have to contact Parasound. What do you think of turning off the subs crossover and setting the C-2 to 80 hz.

I always you the HT to control the sub crossover. If you use the LFE output and sub LFE input, I believe it does bypass the subs crossover.

Great to hear. Nice setup you have there (other than your manual LOL). Enjopy yourself.

    Check this out:

This will help out on calibrating the setup and a free bag to boot.

    Have fun,

Man that is a GREAT deal. Thier is a Harbor frieght store about 35 miles from my house I am going to have to check to see if they got that SPL meter. I let the sub set itself to the location in the room then let the C-2 calibrate itself. I added some db to what it set originally. Sounds pretty good but still need some tweeking. Hey Thanks and your setup sounds awsome also after all polk and velodyne "SWEET".
