guys recently pioneer introduce the new 2008 line of speakers, so here in mexico the give the old ones a 40% discount and also good payment options.

well that was a really a good offer, and i could buy them from the oficial pioneer retailer from less than a used ones on "mercado-libre" (mexican ebay)

i put them on my civic my accord stays like that (all polk)

but the civic could improve from the OEM speakers to a set of REVS

here the pics of my custom install

i had to cut the bottom of the door to fit the woofers, and i cut the tweeter "holders" (i dont know a name for those) and try to fit them as the OEM ones.

what do you think?

here is the woofer without the cover

and here is the tweeter (i cut the "tweeter holder" to fit as OEM as possible)

here is the final pic without the cover

here is with the cover

and finally what do you think of the REVS?
i just buy them for the price and to match the sub...

my first impressions
the mid bass is horrible, but the highs are good, the sound is not to warm but works nice on pop, and techno music

^+1 on the nice install, sound deadening the doors may help with the midbass

its difficult to find good sound deadening and at a good price here, but i will try to buy some on amazon enough to deadening the accords trunk and the civic doors.

thanks a lot for the advise, im always learning here.
