GT5 might still have some pretty stills, but the movement of the cars in this and the destruction looks completely unparalleled. I am interested to see if the final version of Gran Turismo 5 can compete with this. I'm excited!

    Wow.

I was totally against this thread based on the title, all ready to defend how GT5 is an awesome game in its own right, no matter how great any other game may look.

But dang. I want that other game! That's phenomenal! The realism of the cars, the awesomely detailed cockpit view, the damage, etc.

    Wow!

    Its gaming logic.

If game A is the best racing game for 10 years, but game B comes out and is a little better, then game A is now awful and has always been awful.

Either that or I spend too much time on gaming forums where no one has an IQ.

I think it's probably a combo of both.

Looks very good! Codemasters, that's the company behind Colin McRae series, isn't it? If so, I'd expect the game play to be good at least if not great.

good roast. now i feel like the lame one. in my defense, i was rushed at work, the video didn't start with the title of the game and i closed it halfway through. i thought the game was a new gran tourismo. i never got in to any of the gt's. so suck my left nut. and let's not neglect my right.

Unfortunately, it's lookin like ToCA is now taking a turn for the worst...with illegal drifting and "street racing." I loved the first ToCA because of the sheer number of real licensed (and legal) motorsports it contained. Sorry guys, it can't be a GT killer if it's not even in the same genre. It's basically NFS Pro Street with a few real racing series thrown in.

Prologue (or Demo) comes out in North America in about 2 weeks if i'm not mistaken. The full version of GT5 won't be till next year; probably late next year.

After a C-class car overtook my F1 racer in Gran Turismo 3 (or something like that) I need to hear about a MAJOR revamp of cheating computer AI before I will be too interested in another GT game.... still, I put more hours into the Gran Turismo series than any other racer.

Did anyone even look at this post I made a few days ago?

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65767

I mean, everyone keeps talking about how great GRID looks but that video in that post is a hand held camera filming a TV and it still looks incredible! The GRID graphics are cool and all but that cockpit view on that F1 car looks deceivingly real, all the way down to the driver's hands flicking the gear changes.

only 24 more days untill I can drive that F1... I read your post but had already posted a pic in the GT5 thread.

I am GT5's biggest fan and I'd buy GT5 before this game any day, but you must agree that a game coming from the makers of dirt and the toca series with great graphics damage simulation has some potential. And the video makes it look so good!

Um, there are currently 4 titles in the GT series with the new one being 5. The only time that is a "trilogy" is in referencing Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" Trilogy which now includes 5 books.
