I'm new to Polk, I've been a Klipsch guy for awhile. I have a couple pairs that seem a little odd. One says model 7a and has the peerless tweeters and two fuses on the back and the other says moniter 12. Were there different mon 12's as i've never seen them with that tweeter on top? Thanks.
P.S. I can't seem to stop listening to the 7a's. Is there help for that?

The R2D2 looking speaker is commonly known as the RTA-12....but early models were referred to as Monitor 12 also. Same speaker.
The other is an original Monitor 7. Excellent speaker and both are keepers for awhile.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Thanks for the info.
