    Hmm, there is that too...

Luckily, I never plan to buy SDAs except from the faithful here. I'm not much of an ebay gambler myself.

That was a pricey pair of CRS+, but I guess it's only a little more than half of the original MSRP if you think of it that way.

Hey Mike; Top front left corner of right speaker is bashed in and a dead tweeter. Feel better now?
And vinyl... I wouldn't have bid if I knew they were vinyl. That just screams cheep.

Damn that sucks. Bad packaging, or a rough ride?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

Looks like they were dropped in transit. They were shipped in their original factory boxes and packing. The post office made it clear that they would only offer what they decided a fifteen year old peaker was worth and take the speaker. Sounded like I was about to get screwed. The speaker is still sealed and works just fine. As it turned out. The tweeter was just disconnected and works just fine now. I'll just keep the speakers.

The Post office has screwed me up a couple times already this year. They all suck. I am just trying to figure out which one sucks the least.

Take one of the drivers or the passive out of each and make sure the crossover board did not detach from the inductor coil, they are only held by plastic clips. I bought a pair of crs and both crossovers were detached, they just snap back on.

I have had the best luck shipping speakers with DHL. They are a little harder to find and use, but I feel their handling is superior.

I'm going to do the tl upgrade someday. But I want to live with them the way they are for a while. I am surprised that they sound almost identical to my original SDA 1's. I have 2 ohm resisters on each of the tweeters on the SDA 1's because I couldn't stand the harshness the way they were. So I thought the CRS+'s would sound brighter but they're not at all.

What prompted you to address the tweeter bypass? It appears that it worked, due to your comments.
