After seeing what happened on the last comparison thread (Carver vs. Denon), I am almost scared to post this. I do not have the Pioneer to do a side by side comparison but I have found one for sale locally. Does anyone know if it would be better to go with the Pioneer for the additional power or should I buy another Carver and biamp my SRS 2's? The biggest catch on the pioneer is that I have to buy the whole system to get it. Even after selling everything else I would be looking at about $400 for the amp. Thanks for any info.

The Pioneer sounds like more of a hassle than its worth. If it's the one I'm thinking of, its a good amp but I like to keep things simple. Another Carver should be cool and you're already quite familiar with the sound and operation.....why take a chance if you don't really have to?

Tex, if you are interested I can put you in contact with another audio nut that has a TFM-25 for sale for $350.00 OBO. PM me if you are interested and I will get your people talking with my people. :D

I have had both Carver gear and Pioneer gear and time and time again, I chose to keep the Carver gear, for what it's worth.

The Pioneer M90 and M91 were part of the original Elite line back in the late 80's early 90's. Capable amps for sure but nothing special. I had an M90 for a short while and I don't really remember a whole lot about it. Which means it didn't leave an impression one way or the other.

Too much of a hassle in this instance.

Sounds unanimous to me. I paid $250 for my TFM-25 on Ebay. If I can find another one for that price I will give it a try. Thanks for the input.
