I've tried using the Lsi9's for a center but I thought it projected too narrow of a field sitting on it's side so I imagine you may run into the same problem with the 7's. Currently, my 7's are on rear surround duties mounted up high so I don't want to take them down to test.

If you look hard enough and with some luck, you may be able to find a Lsi-C, used or open box, for around $250-$299. I bought mine from OneCall as an open box for $250. Not a scratch on it.
