Will Sid really go subwooferless?

Well, the answer is semi - yes, for the moment anyways...

Im thinking about getting a VMPS dedicated subwoofer -- lay it down sideways on the bottomg shelf of my TV stand behind the preamp and CDP (since I play my sub at such low volume anyways) --

Get an amp that has a built in xover in it (compact), etc etc...

The 12" Megawoofer is a beast, so that should be an excellent adventure...

But for now, I think I will enjoy having no subs

I dont -really- need a sub, no...

But a sub would definitely had some fill to movies and music with low low bass passages... but the 7u has tons of bass for the most part...

haha, I will agree though that subs add a good amount of ambience to music that speakers that arnt full range just cant match...

Ah, forget about a sub for now. You already experienced what huge freakin' badass dual subs can do in your room and you sold them. Anything less will be a disappointment.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Has anyone used the ACI Force?

I've heard quite a few Totem subs.

What you need to do is go to the Home Entertainment Show (thats usually in NYC) and speak with the guys at Totem. That's how I met them in person and was able to talk to them - very nice bunch of guys.
