Can anyone recommend some sites for DIY parts? I'm looking for either manufacturers or sites that sell most parts that one might need to make an amp, pre-amp, etc. RCA jacks, 1/4" jacks, balanced jacks, IEC connectors, wire, power switches, cases, chassis, etc. etc.

I got my hands on some stuff and I want to try something out. :D

Thanks.

    Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    phuz,

    I don't know what all epo has here in houston because I only went there to buy caps and connecting terminals but they are like a mega-radio shack. On fondren between richmond and westpark/59 next to sherwin williams. I think it's definitely worth checking out or at least a phone call to see what all they have.

    *bows bruising forehead on ground*

    When I was 13, I bought 2 apex Jr. amps from this guy. Twenty bucks a piece plus 2 xformers, $ 20 each. Helluva deal for 350 WRMS total.

    Well, shipping from Cali to Canada, one amp doesn't work. Without even blinking, this guy sends me a free replacement amp, free shipping, keep the spare. Apparently filling the claim isn't worth it; I feel him.

    Three months down the line, I find out the cracked volume pot on the broken amp was stopping the signal. At that point, I work at an electronics shop; 0,75$ and 1 hour later, I have a spare amp. Where could I find a xformer? Hmm.... $ 10 later and I had a complete amp. I paypal him $40 bones for his troubles.

    A++++

    Can't say more.

    edit: pretty sure it was Steve. 12 years later.

    DIYcable.com

    Cables (duh), Cardas parts, has his own line of nice RCA jacks, etc. Also DIY subs; great guy to deal with.

    Mcmaster-Carr

    for switches, hardware, stand offs; their catalog is immense and I usually get my stuff within 24 hours at my door.
