Windows Media vs. Winamp

Did replays and replays of:

Lost boys "cry little sister"
Rick James "Superfreak"
Corey Hart "wear my sunglasses"
Billy Idol "Rebel yell"
Ice T "I'm your pusher"
Jay-Z "Lost one"

Pumped through my classics: Roland MA-8's

WinAmp is doing something...not leaps and bounds ahead of WMP but something......on "wear sunglasses" you can hear a lot more clearly the switching from L-speaker to R-speaker(beginning of song). Overall slightly crispier...and the EQ seems more precise.

Visualz are off though not in tune with the music.
You can run both apps together but I'd stop them before switching back and forth cuz you could crash your junk if you play over each other....they can play together but i dont know how long.
The SL2000wc wow what a predicament!!!!!:D Order one today.......1-800-429-5423 for direct orders with anyone of the elite ee guys that frequent this forum.

I'm not so sure this should be a redirect. It sounds to me like it's a review of Winamp.

    Were you using ASIO drivers?

Winamp has 10 times the audio codecs compared to WMP.

All I use is Winamp. Better search, track listing and playback quality.

New convert to winamp, and I love it. Sounds much better than WMP.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    No what are those?

Basically, whenever you play any music in windows, it has to go through Window's K-Mixer which down or up samples everything to 44.1, 16-bit. Even if you're playing audio which is already in that format, it will reconvert it. The end result: windows screws with the audio before it hits your sound card. ASIO drivers lets you bi-pass window's internal mixer and go strait to the sound card (assuming it supports it).

Basically, it makes it sound even better ;)

I use Winamp - WMP tries to do too much checking or loading or something at startup and ocassionally freezes

Winamp is lighter than iTunes and sounds better IMNSHO. The skin it now uses (obviously you can change it) has a a more WMP/iTunes feel about it, so it might be worth checking out for you.
