Disregard Andy's pm. Is the output variable or fixed? Pops is thinking about some cans, but also wants to drive an amp with a single source.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

No, and I don't even want to discuss how bummed I was, and still am. I was up until 3am the night before listening to tunes, and making selections to demo and share at the meet.
My post count is higher than yours, so my questions override yours. Loser.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -

Nice snag, Andy. Russman, what's your budget for headphone amp/preamp?

Andy, look for a Classe transport for sale soon in the Flea Market - I seem to have stumbled onto one, and it will go at a give away price.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
I'LL TAKE IT!!! Thanks, Russ. Silver or Black? Does the remote mostly function with an "upgraded" SOTA battery cover?

I don't think the outputs are variable, or all the specs would come out and say so. Regardless, Andy will solve the mystery in short order since he STOLE this one from Ben.
Andy, black, silver, what's a $3 can of Krylon between friends. Hell, I'll do Ferrari red at no upcharge, for you and you only.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
Russ,, you are correctomundo,, the input(source) volume can be controlled with the vol knob,, the outputs allow the signal to pass thru to the next component(pre-amp or tape). I stand corrected. Andy,, I found the owners manual and registration card, which I'll send along with it. All for now.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

So, hate to bring up an old thread, but have a question.
I've been using a CD player as a transport as of late. So, I've used the analog outputs to the Creek headamp and the digital output to my DAC. Works great since I only use the headphones for CDs, not tuner or vinyl.
But, if I didn't have this setup, what would be the next best way to have the headamp in my rig? I hate to go CD Player to headamp to integrated and add another link to the signal path. Is there an easier way to have it hooked up that I'm not thinking of?
If I use the preouts from my integrated (MF A308), the speakers are still playing as well. This is my first head amp. Andy,
These are really designed to use the tape out connections on a preamp. Tape out to the headphone amp input, then you take the RCA outputs of the headphone amp to the tape player. If you want your speakers off, just turn the volume all the way down on the preamp.
If you don't have a preamp with tape out, you are kinda screwed.
BTW, any chance you want to sell this? For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
Probably not selling anytime soon. It works great, I was just curious how I'd hook it up if I ever decided to switch my setup around.
Thanks for the info. I shipped your HD-DVDs out a couple days ago. Should be to you shortly.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
