Even on crappy Computer speakers I can hear 16k at -63db.
Of course I am only 35. Have trouble with the lower freqs. bacause of the speakers themselves or the sound card. -
I can hear from 125 Hz to 12 KHz in the computer. not bad._________________________________________________

On my computer I can hear the whole range with the volume cranked at 12 and 16k. Maybe that's why I never minded the SL2000
