been watching some movies and playing video games and at first I thought my tweeter was blown on my left front...
but I think I have figured out that some crazy sound in some electronica type music that is in games and movie soundtracks just sounds like a blown tweeter..like a fuzzy hi synthesizer sound..
anyone ever hear something from their speaker and think oh crap my tweeter is blown but then think it's just the sound in the movie..
is there a way to test if my tweet is blown. I cranked up some cds and they sound perfect....
im at a loss..but annoyed when I hear it... I did a rewind and played it again with my ear to the speaker, I could hear from both left and right but it sounded louder more fuzzy in the left... soundtrack???

When one of my SL2000's gave out, I only noticed it at one particular frequency area, with a couple of CD's. Everything else sounded fine. In my case, it was only the right speaker, so to test I swapped tweeters between the right and left speakers. The scratching sound moved to the left speaker, which verified it was the tweeter, not the CD's, or other equipment.
