Hi,
The names Anthony and I've been a lurker of these forums for a bit of time. I was informed by a few of your members I know from AVS i should make a hello thread. So leave all ridicule to them please, I'm still a newb . I'm a future Polk Audio owner and have zero experience with them in terms of Home Audio / Theater. I'm currently in the market however for a secondary setup and can't wait to join the family.

I'm going to be posting up a thread in the speaker section soon. I'm so damn lost concerning AMPs, AVR, => Speakers. Usually I just buy and go, but damn if I don't keep hearing even from RANDOM people that certain speakers need certain Amps or AVR's. It's making my brain hurt for my first time in Polk.I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right -
well. my comment was actually in jest, as we have a bit of a joke about 200 watts per channel. You want a high current amplifier something around 25-30 amperes peak2peak minimum, talking solid state, the more the better.
As soon as you post what kind of amp should I get? the gallery will let you know all the usual suspects and then some, you should drink a lot of alcohol, it does not really help your head but helps you rationalize your spending on the path you just decided to follow.
Hold on and enjoy the music.

Welcome to the Club. Ted was right in saying the booze will help. Its helped me make several purchases I normally would have tried to rationalize. I'm happier this way.
