    Magic words ehh?
That reminds me of this one time in a bar(long time ago)
I walked in and there was a man at the end of the bar with a midget playing a piano. He was only about a foot tall. Well after a while I asked him where the little fellow came from. He told me that he rubbed a lamp, and made a wish. THEN he tells me he has the lamp in his car, and asks me if I would like to try it? So I figured why not. He goes, and gets it. I rub the thing, and ask for a million bucks. All of a sudden a million ducks fly in. I asked the dude whats up? He turned and looked at me, and said "do you think I asked for a 12inch pianist?":p

I'm pretty psyched. I think I will be happy with these:)
Had some nice Koss before, but with the Ipod tube amp (I think it uses just the tubes for the headphones) I should be quit satisfied:cool:

The problem with SR60's is that they're just about a good enough intro to Grado headphones to make you want better ones. I owned the RS-1 at one point, but I sold them. One amazing pair of headphones. I met Joe Grado at a head-fi meet a couple of years ago, gave me a pre-production demo of the GS1000. They start at $995, and up from there if you want to upgrade the cable. Joe makes some great, great stuff. I'm no vinyl guy, but his cartridges are supposed to be superb as well. Enjoy them Ben!
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I did some speed reading before I jumped on these. Dave purchased an amp from me, and I do some wires here and there. We did a little behind the scenes bargaining. We are both happy, and I am pretty sure these will be much better than my Koss. All I heard bad about them is slight lack of bass, and being to loud for others around them. The mids/highs are supposed to be sweet. That was my main concern.
    thanks guys, and Darla.

Well I have had a little bit of time to play with these. The bummer is I don't have any of my CD's here in FLA to play with. I tried them first on my PC with MP3's. I don't know if it is my sound card, or the mp3's. The sound was very disappointing. Then I tried it with the Sony CDP-79es that I am using as the source/amp. The source is vintage 1992, and I am not sure if it is up to snuff to make any decisions about the SQ.

Ever since I did my last 2 sets of custom SDA's I have become extremely spoiled. The better the stuff is that I get the more I want better stuff:o I have the Ipod tube amp in GA to use as a head phone amp. I think it is full tube out. I am very anxious to try them with it. When it comes to head phones I feel like a newbie asking what receiver I should use with my LSI's:o
Over all I am very happy to have a nice set of headphones. Dave is a great straight up guy, and good guy to purchase from.

    Thanks again Dave:)
