Did you put anything on that to help it along, or is that just pure 120v?
-
So that would be about 1800 watts at 60 hz. There are some drivers that may handle the task.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -

I didn't, but dry paper cone, and what appear to be some sort of lacquer=fast flame that stinks!!! Lacquer has been used by many to stiffen a cone, and preserve it in humid environments. It took a long time to burn completely out. Surprised the crap out of me, and my buddy.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Well good times. I would have never though about doing that, but that is awesome! What would happen if one were to do that with a tweeter...
-
The tweeter will go *pop*.
Have an electronic approved extinguisher handy! Class C, I think. -
I'm aware of the pop and the mysterious blue smoke (let's just say a bad experience on an old pair of speakers), but I am interested in what the visuals would be with that much power. You are guessing fire ShinAce? Is ferrofluid flammable?

I accept your challenge:D
I'm thinking vintage Fishers in series. Hopefully series will give a little lifetime under 120vac. The 60hz is going to make short work of it, but I am hoping for a cone to shoot off:)I thought you put gasoline on the second one!!
