Carver Magnetic Field 2-Channel Power Amplifier
350 minimum continuous watts per channel into 8 Ohms

I picked this up recently to play with the SDA 2Bs. I've got to sell those soon too, so I'm going to part with the amp also.

It is not mint. The top has some pretty decent scratches, it is missing a couple of the rubber feet on the bottom, but the face only has some very minor scuffs. As long as this is not exposed on a top shelf in your rig, it should show fine. Plenty of pics - including some of the guts...couldn't resist taking a look inside. :D

I don't know that much about amps, so keep that in mind when asking questions.

Asking $275 - SOLD to engtaz. I am not opposed to shipping, but will give locals priority. If you think my price is out of line. please pm/email.

Yeah, $275 is high for a 25 year old amp. I'll give Ya $50 for it.:D

$275 is about average for an M-1.5t in good working order. These are great amps. You can get it re-capped and brought up to original specs for $300 in Vancouver, Wa. with original Carver parts. Doubt you'd find a better amp for $575 plus shipping.

Not sure. It was that way when I got it. Looks to me like another piece was on top and didn't have feet or pucks (maybe head of a screw type scratching). Somebody with some skills might be able to make it look better.

I have been tracking this model on eBay for a while. I would say 275 is below average price, assuming it only has some cosmetic problem.
    AVR: Boston Acoustic AVR7100 (110w x 7)
Amp: Carver M-1.5t (for front speakers Polk RTi-12)
Amp: B&K AV6000 (for center and 4 surround speakers)
    Sub1: Velodyne CT-100
    Sub2: Polk PSW505
    DVD: Marantz
Cables: all Signal Cable IC's and speaker cables

I've been watching these go for well over $400 on the bay plus shipping so this is a steal IMHO.

Thanks for the pricing knowledge everybody. I thought some might like the price, since there is one on local CL for $400 and at least one on ebay right now for $500 BIN.

The scratches are just cosmetic, and really only on the top. Functionally it seems perfect. All lights seem to be working, but I haven't tested the ones at the top of the "tree," only a couple steps up from the bottom.

Priced it to move it and give somebody a good deal...anybody want it?

I have this amp as well and it is a very solid performing amp. I would recommend anyone looking for a good amp to jump on this. Cosmetic issues aside it's a great value for the price. Good luck with your sale. Wish I could justify the desire for another one myself :)

Local Polkies - I'll give you about a week, then I will sell to those interested in shipping.

nik - I'd rather not have this turn into a community yard sale thread please...I've already got my own yard sale FS threads in here.

Post interest or PM if you want to get in line for shipping. Shipping can't be that bad on this...what maybe 20 lbs packed?

    Hey Cambir,

Sent you a PM. Possibly work out a local swap?

Amp still available...the trade was not quite what I was looking for right now.

I've got 4 lined up for shipping if the locals don't jump on it.

I've got shipping buyers knocking down the door, so I don't want to hold on to it any longer. If you are local and are interested, speak up this weekend, or it ships out early next week.

Congrats. I haven't had to do a thing to my m1.0t and have no plans to unless it starts to give me problems.

Glad to hear it had a safe trip. +1 for engtaz as well. Congrats and enjoy your new amp! I'd be interested in seeing some pics if you end up "fixing" the scratches on the top.
