I have finally finished the install on my 2004 Nissan Desert Runner. I have an Alpine CDA-9833 head unit with two MRV-T420's bridged powering a set of MOMO 6500's, and a MRD-501 Powering a M-104 10" in a custom band pass enclosure. I am trying to get the best possible blend between the sub and the components. There is quite a bit of distance between the mids (lower door panel) and the tweeters (A pillars) I have several other amps that I could install if needed (Carver 4060 and 4120) My head unit has an active two or three way crossover that is infinately adjustable or I can download custom settings through the i-personalize website. Which would be better, bi-wiring the crossovers or bi-amping the 6500's and running the speakers directly through the head unit?
If God had intended for us to listen to anything made by Bose, surely he would not have given us ears.

i would biamp the 6500's with that carver 4120. i ran my sr6500's with my 4120 and it sounded awsome. just make sure to use the gains to detune the channels to the tweeters. that m-4120 is one of the best sounding amps of all time, dont waste it. plenty of headroom and power to spare! i took mine out of service to put in a future install.

Yup, bi-amp those babies and use that 3 way crossover. Cross the tweets over around 4 KHz with a nice shallow slope like 12 db on both the mids and the tweets. This will let them blend in with each other better.

Then high pass the mids at around 63 Hz with about a 24 db slope and low pass the sub at 63 @ 24 db. See how that works and then fine tune from there.
