Kimber 8TC speaker cables
I'm looking to buy some Kimber 8TC speaker cables for the lower binding posts of my currently bi-amped LSi15 fronts. I currently have some of Ben's Star Quad silvers on the highs, and they sound fantastic. But I need an improvement over the mediocre Monster's I have for the lowers.
There are several listings on AG for 20-30' unterminated lengths. I have given some thought to terminating them myself with some decent spades or nanners. Anyone see a problem with this? Or should I get some pre-terminated cables?

What length do you need? I may be coming across a few short runs soon."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Sorry, these are probably around 3'."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I'd go all Kimber if I were you. That's a very nice set of cables.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I've been tossing up Audioquest 8-CV vs. Kimber 8TC. I was leaning towards the 8TC partly because of price (Kimber is a bit cheaper) and because from many accounts they seem to be a bit more usable with many different configurations. But yeah, I am liking the Audioquest line as well...Speakers: Polk LSi15

I have AQ's on the lows of my speakers, and I run my silver's on the highs. To me its like fine wine, and cheese. While my silvers are much cheaper, have great detail, and smooth highs they do not have the punch that the AQ's have over every speaker wire I have tested in my system. I have two sets. The DBS, and non DBS wires. One set retailed for about $450, and the other $200. The DBS (here come the comes the cable nay sayers:rolleyes:) really do sound better than the non dbs. I do say go for the DBS if someone was to want a single wire, but with the silvers on the highs non DBS if fine IMHO. If you can't get your Kimber 8TC's I can highly recommend the AQ Type4's.

The price is right if you can find them used, and bang for buck is good.
The DBS ones are the CV4's.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Thanks guys, i'll keep my eyes open for a good deal on either the Kimber's or AQ's. I think either would serve me very well.Speakers: Polk LSi15

I have a 10' pair of AQ Type 4's brand new. They were sent to AQ and reterminated to the top end bananas (BFA I think). I had 2 pairs but ended up only using 1. PM if you think you may want to go this route. I just switched to the AQ DBS I/C's and I like them a lot. They smoothed things out while retaining details.

Thanks Venom. The ones you have are the Type 4's without the DBS system?Speakers: Polk LSi15
