Bridging PDX1000.1 to 2 8ohm subs?

I have the Alpine PDX1000.1 amp and two Dual 4 ohm Subs. Both subs are wired for 8Ohms each so I can get a Final 4Ohm Load to the amp. Do I connect each of the 8ohm wired subs to each of the two connectors on the PDX and this will show the Amp the 4Ohms I need or do I have to connect both Neg. wires into a connector and each Positive wires to the other connector and if so what connector is Neg and what one is the pos because it says nothing in the book about this kind of hook-up? The manual just shows each of the subs going to each of the connectors and says that each sub needs to be 4ohms or greater.

I am guessing that you can connect each sub(wired 8 Ohm) up to its own connector and the amp will bridge the two 8ohm subs to show 4ohms.

Please let me know if I have this wired right???

This a good sight that I havent got to read enough. I think there is a section on wiring speakers to achieve different loads:

    Pioneer - DEH-80PRS
    Polk Audio - PA 500.4
    Subamps?

First off, you cannot bridge a single channel amp. As it has only one channel it is unable to bridged.

It does show you how to connect the speakers. That is why they say to connect speakers of 4ohms or greater. Connect one sub to output one the other sub to output two.

The amp will do the rest for you.
