I've never really understood why people are so fascinated by that.
Is this considered a mod or a tweak? -

I'm gonna do it eventually, without blowing anything.
Four 8 ohm woofers in series gives you 450 WRMS total at 60 Hz, impedance neglected. -

Voltage is fixed at 120 VRMS, frequency is 60 Hz.
Find the load, with that, find the current. Now you know how much power the socket is giving you.
8 ohms = 1800 watts
16 ohms = 900 watts
32 ohms = 450 watts -

Does that answer your question? What is your question? -
We used to do that all the time with custome returns when I worked at circuit city. Best was the Bazooka bass tubes cause they had the worst smell of any to them.
